The Board of Civitas Social Housing PLC (“Board”), the first London listed real estate investment trust (“REIT”) dedicated to investing into regulated social housing in England and Wales, is pleased to announce the latest dividend on the Company’s ordinary shares (the “Ordinary Shares”) and the first dividend on the Company’s C shares (the “C Shares”).
The Board has today declared a quarterly dividend in respect of the Ordinary Shares for the three months to 31 March 2018 of 1.25 pence per Ordinary Share. The Directors are targeting to pay dividends of 5.0 pence per Ordinary Share in respect of the calendar year to 31 December 2018. The dividend will be paid on or around 8 June 2018 to holders of Ordinary Shares on the register as at 18 May 2018 (the “Ordinary Share Record Date”). The corresponding ex-dividend date will be 17 May 2018.
The dividend will be paid as a REIT property income distribution (“PID”). For shareholders who qualify for gross payment of distributions, forms to register for gross PIDS are available on the Company’s website or from the Company’s registrar, Link Asset Services, The Registry, 34 Beckenham Road, Beckenham, Kent, BR3 4TU. Eligibility declarations must be returned to the Company’s registrar by the Ordinary Share Record Date.
C Share Dividend Declaration
The Board has today declared a first dividend in respect of the C Shares for the period since issue on 14 November 2017 to 31 March 2018 of 1.13 pence per C Share. The holders of C Shares are entitled to cumulative preferential dividend of 3.0 per cent per annum pro-rated up until the conversion of the C Shares into Ordinary Shares. The dividend will be paid on or around 8 June 2018 to holders of C Shares on the register as at 18 May 2018 (the “C Share Record Date”). The corresponding ex-dividend date will be 17 May 2018. The dividend will be paid as an ordinary UK dividend.
In addition to these declarations, Civitas confirms that on 30th May the Company will announce its IFRS and Portfolio Net Asset Value for the quarter ended 31st March 2018. Going forward the Company will announce both its IFRS and Portfolio Net Asset Value quarterly.
